Cat Boarding  (Indefinitely suspended)

Cats will have their own separate room in the facility. I am currently not accepting cats until I can sound-isolate that room. It will be separated from the canine areas and there is even a back door if you have a cat that is especially wary of dogs.

I looked at many options for cat boarding enclosures and everything I found commercially was either too institutional looking or outrageously expensive. I just finished construction of the first of 7-8 mobile kitty cabinettes. They will be 6 feet tall, 3 feet wide and 3-1/2 feet deep. They will feature several different levels of sleeping shelves so your cat can find a height that he or she is comfortable with. They are well ventilated and have no view of the cats next door. The cool thing is that I am putting them on casters so they can be moved around very easily. Not only will this be great for cleaning, I can also wheel each one over to the half-glass door so they can get some sunshine and check out what's going on outdoors. And, if you happen to have a cat and dog who love each other, kitty can be rolled right over to the dog suite where pup is staying so they can have some interaction.

Future plans for the cat room include an enclosed catio outside the back door where calm kitties can spend some time getting some fresh air and scratching on a log. Rest assured, cats will NEVER be allowed loose with others that they do not live with.

NOTE: To protect the health of my boarders, I do require proof of veterinary vaccination against rabies and feline distemper (FVRCP). You can bring along a copy of your receipt or I can call your vet to confirm. I know that some people vaccinate their own pets, but I cannot accept boarders who were not vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian.
